The Betty Boop Musical follows Betty Boop as she takes a day off from her super-celebrity life behind black-and-white television, stepping into the vibrant, kaleidoscopic world of New York City. As Betty explores the city’s dazzling array of characters and experiences, her journey becomes a heartwarming adventure filled with music, love, and self-discovery. Amidst the city’s wonders, Betty learns profound lessons about her own potential and the joy of embracing life's extraordinary moments.

The Creative Team

Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, La Cage aux Folles, Hairspray ) leads a show-stopping creative team that includes Grammy Award-winning lyricist David Foster (“I Have Nothing,” “After the Love Is Gone,” “The Prayer”), Tony Award-nominated lyricist Sarah Birkenhead (Working, Jelly’s Last Jam ), and Tony Award-winning bookwriter Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom ).

The full team from the world premiere reprise their work for the Broadway production, including scenic designer David Rockwell, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Philip S. Rosenberg, sound designer Gareth Owen, projection designer Finn Ross, hair and wig designer Sabana Majeed, makeup designer Michael Clifton, illusion designer Skylar Fox, marionette designer The Huber Marionettes, music supervisor and arranger Daryl Waters, orchestrator Doug Besterman, dance music arranger Zane Mark, and music director Andrew Resnick.
